Omeprazole Side Effects

Most people who take for granted their noticeable internal and physical changes while taking this medication have developed very serious complications. Omeprazole, technically known as proton-pumps inhibitors belong to the class of medications labeled as anti-acides. This drug is often prescribed to people who suffer from heartburn, dyspepsia, erosive esophagitis, stomach ulcer, stomach bleeding and Gastroesophagus Reflux Disease or GED and other internal anomalies caused by excess acid.

As a proton pump inhibitor, it propels the excess acid in the stomach to maintain equilibrium and thus, avoid the likelihood of developing disorders. Thus, it works by blocking the production and lessens the production of the acid in the stomach.
